About Us
Have you suffered violence online? Kuram is here for you.
Women should be safe in digital spaces
‘Kuram’ means ‘Keep Me Safe’ in Tiv, one of the 350+ languages found in Nigeria. ‘Kuram’ is at the heart of this project supported by Hivos through Digital Defenders Partnerships, to expand on our work eliminating violence against women and girls wherever and however this violence presents, including online.
Kuram is the product of research, engagements with women and minority groups, and offers
- Resources on what online gender-based violence is and how it might present
- Opportunities to access justice where violence has occurred
TechHer is a community of learning, support and collaboration for women and girls who are not the primary thrust of advocacy. Our work revolves around Digital Literacy, Tech for Governance and Community.
We believe that if we show women the simple ways technology can enhance their lives, these women will pass it on to their children the same way culture, religion, and norms are transmitted. In this way, we secure the future of young girls who will use tech.
